Acton Scott Heritage Farm

Acton Scott is a working heritage farm near Church Stretton, about 15 miles from Ludlow, where Victorian and Edwardian farming methods are demonstrated using heavy horses, historic machinery and rare-breed livestock. The site includes historic buildings, a cafe with garden seating and a pond and it operates seasonally from early April to early November, opening Saturday and Sunday plus selected school-holiday and bank-holiday dates. Well-behaved dogs are welcome in selected outdoor areas from the visitor car park to the pond, including the cafe garden, but they must not cross the bridge or enter livestock areas such as the farmyard.

Assistance dogs are allowed throughout. This careful zoning means you and your dog can enjoy the gardens, pond and outdoor cafe space while the working farm areas remain livestock-safe.
