Betty and George is a dog-friendly cafe on Howard Place near Canonmills, just under a mile from Edinburgh's city centre. Dogs welcome inside, so you can order coffee, brunch and lunch without leaving your dog at the door. The neighbourhood location and sit-in service make it an easy stop between local walks or on the way to the Water of Leith.

This is a proper neighbourhood spot for coffee and a plate of something warm, popular with the local crowd. Breakfast, brunch and lunch are the draw, so it's the kind of place where you and your dog can settle in without rush.

Street parking is tight around Howard Place, so bus or walking tends to work better. It's a useful dog-friendly cafe if you're moving through the area or need a proper sit-down break.
