Cadbury Garden Centre in Congresbury, just south-west of Bristol, is a large Blue Diamond destination where dogs are welcome inside on short leads. You'll find indoor plants, homewares, outdoor plants, garden sundries and furniture alongside a farm shop, restaurant and play zone – all with free parking.

Well-behaved dogs can join you while you browse the aisles, which means no juggling leads in the car park or leaving anyone behind for a quick bag of compost. The centre is marked officially dog-friendly and the size and range make it a proper Bristol-to-Mendip corridor day-trip stop for families and dogs alike.

The restaurant has designated dog-friendly areas, so it's worth checking on arrival if you're planning to eat. Otherwise, expect the usual garden-centre mix of seasonal colour, practical kit and the odd impulse buy – with your dog padding along beside you the whole time.
