Fermoy's Garden Centre is a large, established dog-friendly garden centre in Ipplepen, about 17 miles north-east of Dartmouth and a practical stop if you're exploring the Newton Abbot area. Dogs are welcome inside the retail areas, so you can browse plants, homeware and the farm shop together without the usual car-park shuffle.

There's free parking on site and the centre includes a café and farm shop alongside the main garden-centre departments. Dogs aren't allowed in the restaurant itself, but there's a designated dog area outside if you're stopping for lunch.

It's the kind of place that works well when you need a proper browse rather than a quick dash and keeping your dog with you through the shopping aisles makes the whole trip less stressful. A useful destination if you're passing through or combining errands with a day out around South Devon.
