The Harte is a freehouse pub in Old Costessey on the western edge of Norwich, serving real ales and home-cooked food in a welcoming, traditional setting. Dogs are welcome inside, so the whole group can settle in together at the table without anyone standing guard on the pavement.

The kitchen runs Wednesday to Sunday, offering lunch and evening service most days and a longer Sunday lunch sitting until 4pm. The bar opens from midday and stays open into the evening, making it a useful stop for a drink or a proper meal with your dog at your feet.

It's a good choice if you're heading west out of the city or travelling along the A47 and there's parking at the rear. The pub has a relaxed, dog-friendly atmosphere and food is served in the areas where dogs are welcome.

Good to know:

Dog Policy:

Dogs are welcome inside the pub, so nobody has to volunteer for pavement duty. Food is served in the dog-friendly areas.
