The Walnut Tree is a large roadside pub south of Chichester, with a public bar, cottage area and separate restaurant. Dogs are welcome inside in the bar and cottage area, so the whole group can settle in together over drinks or food.

The pub serves British pub-restaurant fare and opens daily from 11am to 10pm. There's parking for around sixty cars, making it a useful stop for visitors heading south from Chichester or exploring the Runcton area with a dog in tow.

Your dog can join you at the table in the dog-friendly areas and food is served throughout the pub. The restaurant remains dog-free, but with the bar and cottage area open to dogs, nobody's stuck outside holding the lead. That straightforward access is the detail that turns a quick drink or meal into a genuine break for the whole group.
