Whitegates Nursery

Whitegates Nursery is a large, established garden centre in West Rounton, about fifteen miles from Richmond, where dogs are welcome inside the shop and garden centre on a lead. You'll find a substantial plant offer, indoor retail and a straightforward indoor welcome to browse together while your dog investigates at a sensible pace.

The cafe restricts dogs to assistance animals, but there's a small indoor seating area called The Galley just outside where your dog can join you. It's a useful compromise when you need a sit-down and your dog needs to stay close.

There's a large car park with disabled parking near the entrance, making it straightforward for a day trip from Richmond or the Northallerton side. It's the sort of place that works for a proper garden-centre wander when you've got the dog in tow and a few plants on the list.
