WHY PEOPLE TELL US WE'RE AWESOME.

Playground is a speciality independent coffee shop, craft beer and cocktail bar born from the collaboration of weird and wonderful people, tons of ideas and a cumulation of never ending hard work.

When we first opened, we dedicated our project to delivering amazing coffee, homemade treats you can't find anywhere else and enough board games to roll hundreds of dice at.

Halfway through, we realised people sometimes like to have a cheeky drink alongside playing boardgames. So we now offer a little more - creative cocktails, local craft beer and some cracking wine to sip and defeat your board game enemies in style. Or you can join us just for a drink and enjoy our wonderful atmosphere without having to worry about beating your partner in a game of Snakes and Ladders. It's up to you, really.

We're working on bringing some amazing new events and features to make Playground a place for everyone. So whether you're a legendary champ at Risk, an incredible storyteller at Dungeons & Dragons, a coffee expertise that can taste many flavours in espresso, a honcho in local craft beer, a lover of cocktails or simply someone that loves happy people in a happy place, congrats. You found us.
