Champion of the Thames prides itself on two things – Two rooms, one with a cosy snug, the other with a warm fire and high stools where our wonderful team consistently offer excellent service to our equally excellent patrons.

And number two, we’re immensely proud of our ales. Most recently winning both City & District CAMRA Awards, runner up in the Velvet Food & Drink Awards and BID’s Mystery Shopper Award for the second year running!

We have been recognised by Green King as Pub of the Year for several years.

We are Consistently listed in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide, most recently - CAMRA Good Beer Guide 2024, Winner of CAMRA Pub of the Year 2024 Cambridge City and District and Cambridgeshire, but more importantly than all of our awards is we can boast a corner regulars table and we're probably most proud of that.

We Are Dog Friendly - Bring your four-legged friend in for a drink and a chat - we've always got a water bowl and treats behind the bar.
