Hatherley Park is a charming ornamental garden of around 3 hectares. It is one of Cheltenham's six Green Flag Award parks, having held the award since 2007. There is strong support from the Friends of Hatherley Park group.

Features
The main feature of Hatherley Park is the lake. Many of our visitors come to feed the ducks and enjoy a little peace and tranquility. We ask that you feed the ducks with grain, rather than bread, as it is better for the ducks and their environment. Grain is available from most pet shops including Newman and Bloodworth on Bath Road and Tivoli Trading on Andover Road.

In the park you will find a number of interesting mature specimen trees and shrubs. Some of these mature trees line the main path and provide a stunning array of autumn colour. Species include gingko biloba, hornbeam, willow and a number of species of birch. Find out more about the park's flora and fauna.

The park has 2 children's play areas. One is a fenced area for infants and younger children. Adjacent to this is an area with equipment designed for older children. There is also a basketball hoop.

Hatherley Park has a junior football pitch.

In 2005 a small wildlife pond was created close to the original lake.
