Hamerton Gardens

These gardens set back from the busy road offer a place of peace and reflection. You will find a formal garden with roses, flowers and herbaceous planting.

There is also a large lawned area, in the centre of which is the town’s Korean War Veterans Memorial. There are also benches and paved paths suitable for visitors whatever their mobility.

On a summer evening the gardens are a popular place to sit outside with a bag of chips from Mermaids Fish & Chip Shop on the other side of South Street.
