We know you might have some questions about the recent changes at Brockhole, so we’ve put together this handy FAQ to keep you up to date! While some things have changed, there’s still plenty of adventure waiting for you, from boat hire on Windermere to exciting activities like archery, mini golf, and our amazing Adventure Playground. Check out the answers below to find out what’s new and what’s still here to enjoy.

1. Is there anywhere to eat and drink at Brockhole?

We're excited to introduce the NEW Joey's café to Brockhole. Located down by the Adventure Playground. They're serving delicious vegetarian food and drink everyday.

2. Can I still go inside the house at Brockhole?

No, the house is now closed to the public, with the exception of our main toilets. This allows us to focus on improving and expanding the fantastic outdoor experiences we offer across the site.

3. Where are the toilets located?

Main toilets are located in Brockhole house. Toilets are also available down in the grounds near the Activity Cabin, between the Adventure Playground and the lakeshore.

4. What activities are still available at Brockhole?

There’s still plenty of adventure to enjoy! You can take part in:

Boat hire – explore Windermere by kayak, canoe, paddleboard or motorboat
Archery – test your aim with our expert-led sessions
Mini golf – challenge family and friends on our fun course
Adventure Playground – free play area with exciting features for all ages
Zip World – high-flying fun with treetop adventures
Go Wild – action-packed axe throwing and laser tag
Wild in Nature sessions - nature focused outdoor and creative family sessions
5. Is Brockhole still a good place to visit with kids?

Absolutely! With our incredible Adventure Playground, mini golf, boat hire, and thrilling activities like Zip World and Go Wild, there’s plenty to keep children of all ages entertained. Whether they love climbing, exploring, getting active outdoors or getting creative, Brockhole is still a top family destination.
