The Winking Owl, Craft Ale Pub & Bar welcomes dogs inside the bar and restaurant, so everyone can stay together over craft ales and meals. Open daily from midday, it's a straightforward all-day stop in the heart of Aviemore where nobody has to sit outside.
The Coffee Pot welcomes dogs inside the seating area by the door, with cushions provided so they can settle comfortably on the seats. Open daily 9am to 4pm, it's a genuinely welcoming indoor break on Grampian Road with treats and water bowls for every visitor.
Loch an Eilein, Rothiemurchus offers scenic lochside paths and ancient pinewoods around a 13th-century island castle, with dogs welcome outdoors throughout. A designated off-lead exercise area and clear trails make it a superb Highland walk less than three miles south of Aviemore.
