Allington Nursery

Allington Nursery is a family-run garden centre on a five-acre site at Allington Lane in Fair Oak, just east of Winchester. Established in 1922, it carries a large stock of plants and a sizeable retail operation, making it a practical browsing destination when you'd rather keep your dog with you than leave them in the car.

Dogs are welcome inside the customer retail areas. The nursery also stocks pet supplies, so there's a chance you'll tick off a dog-food or toy top-up while choosing perennials.

It's a well-established local option for unhurried pottering with a lead in one hand and a tray of bedding plants in the other. The Fair Oak location puts it about seven miles from central Winchester, useful if you're already heading east or want an alternative to the busier spots closer to town.
