Ardkinglas Woodland Garden is a formal estate woodland garden near Cairndow on the shores of Loch Fyne, within easy reach of Oban via the A83 and A819. Dogs on leads are welcome throughout the woodland garden and estate grounds, making this a generous destination for a proper dog day out amid mature trees, seasonal colour and long winding paths. On-site parking is available and the garden is open daily from 8am to 7pm.

This is an all-year-round visit with space to wander, sniff and take your time. The lead rule keeps everything calm and dog-friendly and the estate setting gives you room to enjoy the grounds without squeezing past other visitors every few minutes.

House tours run most Fridays from April to October and require booking, but the woodland garden itself is the main attraction and needs no advance reservation. A thoughtful stop for anyone combining Loch Fyne scenery with a dog-shaped itinerary and far more substantial than a quick layby stretch.
