ZOOM OUT TO EXPLORE

Indoor Welcome Last Verified:

Ardress House is a 17th-century National Trust farmhouse estate set in gardens, orchards and grounds just outside Armagh. Dogs are welcome on leads throughout the gardens and grounds, with seasonal access to open spaces and the car park area. Water bowls are provided near the courtyard and toilet block and there's on-site parking with Blue Badge spaces adjacent to visitor reception.

Dogs aren't allowed inside the historic house and the traditional cobbled farmyard is off-limits too due to free-roaming chickens and other farm animals. During busy seasonal events such as Apple Sundays, access may be further restricted because of livestock and crowds. The National Trust rates Ardress House as a one-pawprint location, reflecting outdoor-only access with basic amenities.

It's a practical heritage day out for dogs who enjoy a calmer garden setting rather than a full indoor explore. Keep leads on throughout, bring bags for waste disposal in the general bins provided and check seasonal opening details before you visit.
