Arundells

Arundells is a historic house and garden tucked within Salisbury's Cathedral Close, offering a rare glimpse into the home of former Prime Minister Sir Edward Heath. The elegant garden is the star for visiting dog owners, with well-behaved dogs welcome on leads throughout the lawns and pathways while you explore the immaculately kept grounds. The house interior is open only to guide and special assistance dogs, so ordinary pet dogs stay outside while their humans take in the gardens.

The setting is peaceful, the planting is lovely and there's enough space for a proper sniff-and-wander without feeling rushed. Open Monday, Tuesday and Thursday to Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm, with no on-site parking—use Salisbury city centre car parks or the park-and-ride.

Closed Wednesdays. It's a calm, central stop for well-mannered dogs and history-loving owners happy to linger outside.
