Ashbourne Dog Field is a brilliant stop near Ashbourne when your dog needs a proper run without the unpredictability of busy public paths. Set on a farm just outside town, this secure field is fully enclosed with high fencing and booked in private hourly sessions, so you and your dog get the whole space to yourselves. It’s perfect for off-lead zoomies, recall practice or simply letting a dog burn off holiday excitement before heading back into town for cafés and pubs.

The field includes agility-style equipment, open running space and fresh water for thirsty explorers. There’s even a small hut with hot drinks, cold drinks and treats available, which turns a simple exercise stop into a surprisingly civilised dog-owner pause. A very handy Ashbourne addition when the dog needs their own main-character moment.

Dog Policy:

Dogs have the whole field to themselves during your booked session, making it perfect for safe off-lead zoomies and training. Dogs should stay on a lead between the car park and the secure field, then it’s game on for a full hour of sniffing, running and general joy.
