Aspal Close Local Nature Reserve

Aspal Close Local Nature Reserve in Beck Row, near Bury St Edmunds, is a managed nature reserve with ancient trees, wildlife habitat and a picnic area. Dogs are welcome to explore the reserve on foot with you, provided they're kept under control and you pick up after them. The fenced football pitch is excluded, but the rest of the site is open for a quiet walk or a sniff-heavy wander.

There's an on-site car park, so you can arrive, unload the dog and head straight onto the trail without the usual lead-and-bag fumble across a road. The reserve is open all year, making it a useful spot for a short walk when you need greenery, birdsong and a change of scene without travelling far.
