The Bank of Conwy is a craft beer and wine bar in Lancaster Square, right in the heart of Conwy's historic walled town. Housed in a sympathetically converted Grade II listed former bank, the original counter now serves as the bar and the downstairs vault area adds a genuinely unusual backdrop for a drink. Dogs are welcome inside throughout, so there is no pavement-waiting required after a walk along the castle walls or quayside.

The bar is open Tuesday to Sunday, closed Mondays. Food is served from a changing menu of light bites and bar snacks, with kitchen hours running Tuesday to Saturday — midday to late afternoon midweek, brunch through to mid-afternoon on Saturdays. The drinks list covers cask ales, keg and bottled craft beers, wines, spirits and gin.

A sign outside lets dogs know sausages may be on offer if their owners behave — which sets the tone nicely. It is a compact, characterful stop that earns its place on any dog-friendly day out in Conwy.

Dog Policy:

Dogs are welcome inside throughout the bar, so paws and people can settle in together. Sausages are sometimes on offer for visiting dogs — the sign outside makes the terms very clear.
