Days Out Are For Dogs Too

Banovallum Carr in Horncastle is a woodland nature reserve that makes a dog owner feel like they've upgraded the day without really trying. It's a proper nature-heavy spot, with trees, damp earthy smells, and the sort of winding paths that encourage the dog to conduct a full investigation into every stick, puddle, and breeze.
The pace naturally slows here, partly because it's peaceful, and partly because the dog keeps stopping to read the "scent newspaper" in extreme detail. It's ideal for cooler days, calm walks, and anyone who likes their outings a little bit wild at the edges.
Expect muddy paws, happy sniffs, and that satisfied post-walk silence on the way home. A proper woodland wander for dogs who take their sniffing seriously.
