Bay Tree Cafe sits on St John's Street in the heart of Bury St Edmunds, where the café strip meets the town core. Dogs are welcome inside, so you can settle in together for brunch, coffee or a proper mid-walk sit-down. The menu runs strong on homemade cakes, generous breakfasts and the sort of lunch plates that refuel both ends of the lead.

The dining room is comfy and friendly and reviews regularly mention the warm service and relaxed vibe. It's the kind of place where your dog can snooze under the table while you work through a toasted sandwich and a flat white.

Bay Tree is open Monday to Friday 10am–4pm, Saturday 9am–4pm and Sunday 10am–3pm. It's central, unpretentious and genuinely welcoming—useful whether you're visiting Bury or breaking up a longer outing with proper food and a sit-down.
