That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

Beach House Falmouth is a dog-friendly cafe and beachside food-and-drink stop at Swanpool, just outside central Falmouth, where dogs are welcome inside. That makes it especially handy on the coast path, when the weather has stopped pretending to be summery and nobody wants to negotiate a damp outdoor table with a lead round one chair leg.

The venue is open all day for food and drinks, with a bar open until late on most evenings and an outside bar when the weather allows. It works well after a walk between Falmouth, Gyllyngvase, Swanpool and Maenporth, or as a calmer pause before heading back into town.

Water bowls are a useful extra, because dogs often discover a terrible thirst the moment the humans sit down. Parking is practical for Swanpool, with a pay-and-display car park opposite the beach and some free parking around Swanpool reservoir. Swanpool Beach has seasonal dog restrictions in summer, so beach signs matter before dogs go on the sand.
