That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

Beacon Farm Ice Cream, Campsite & Tearooms is a proper countryside stop on the edge of Whitby, combining homemade ice cream, tearoom treats, and a bit more breathing space than the busy town centre. It works well when the dog needs a change of scene and the humans need tea, cake, or lunch with a rural backdrop. There is a relaxed, family-run feel here, with outdoor space and a setting that suits slower dog-day pacing rather than quick in-and-out refuelling. A good one for padding a Whitby trip with farm-shop energy, snack optimism, and at least one hopeful stare aimed at the ice cream.

Good to know:

Water bowls available

Treats available

Doggy Menu available

Dog Policy:

Well-behaved dogs are welcome, with dogs allowed on site if kept on a lead and owners clean up after them. For the tearoom side, it is best to keep dogs calm and close, especially around food areas and busier family times.
