The Beatrix Potter Garden Trail is a free outdoor sculpture and interpretation trail near Pitlochry, winding through Birnam and celebrating the author's childhood summers in the area. Dogs are welcome to join you along the route, which is open all hours and features character sculptures, themed garden elements and story panels that bring Potter's work to life.
The trail is entirely outdoors and accessible year-round, making it a relaxed outing when you want something more thoughtful than a standard walk. There's no need to rush—take your time with the sculptures and let your dog enjoy the sniff stops along the way.
Free street parking is available outside Birnam Arts, though spaces are limited. The wider Beatrix Potter Experience visitor attraction opens daily from 10:30 to 15:30, but the outdoor trail itself can be explored at any time.

Dogs are welcome on the outdoor trail. The official trail page does not state a lead policy, but keeping dogs on a lead is sensible in public outdoor areas.
