That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

Just a short wander from the beach, this is one of those pubs that feels like it’s always mid-moment — music on, people chatting, something happening in the corner. It leans into that proper seaside local energy, where a quick drink quietly turns into “just one more” and suddenly you’re part of the evening.
Inside, it’s got that split personality in the best way — part relaxed daytime stop, part lively evening hub. You’ve got screens for sport, space to settle in, and a steady rhythm of events from bingo to live music keeping things ticking over.
This is now very much a drink-first kind of place — a proper 'pub' pub where the focus stays on the bar, the atmosphere, and the people in it. But importantly, food hasn’t disappeared, it’s just gone flexible. You can bring your own, get a takeaway delivered, or even order from the nearby café and have it brought straight in, which turns it into a bit of a “build your own pub stop” situation.
There’s a strong community feel here too. Friendly staff, familiar faces, and the kind of welcome where visitors don’t stay strangers for long. Add in a beer garden for warmer days and you’ve got a solid all-rounder that works just as well for a casual pint as it does for a full “we’ve ended up staying out” kind of night.
It’s not polished or trying to impress — it’s just genuinely good at being a proper pub, right by the sea.

Dog Policy:
🐾 Dogs welcome inside. So after the beach zoomies, the promenade sniffari, and the inevitable full-body sand situation, the dog does not have to be parked outside like a forgotten shopping bag. Everyone gets to pile in together and carry on the Gorleston pub stop properly.
