Bodmin Railway is a full heritage railway running steam and diesel passenger trains through the Cornish countryside, with its main station at Bodmin General on Harleigh Road. Dogs are welcome throughout the station and on regular passenger trains, making it a proper day out for anyone planning around four paws rather than splitting up the group. It's positioned as one of seven dog-friendly attractions in Bodmin, so you can build a fuller dog-day itinerary without the usual guesswork.

A small dog ticket is required and your dog travels paws-on-floor on a short lead – no sitting on seats and the on-train bar area and food-served spots are off-limits. Some event trains exclude dogs altogether, so it's worth checking the schedule if planning around a themed day.

Bodmin General is manned while trains are running and the official site lists current timetables, fares and dog policy detail. The railway works well for dog owners who want an actual outing rather than just a wander.
