Bodnant Garden is a National Trust historic garden set in the Conwy Valley, a short drive from Llandudno. The 80-acre estate includes formal terraces, a wooded dell, the famous Laburnum Arch and wide pathways through collections that span magnolias, rhododendrons and native Welsh planting. It's a proper garden day out, with on-site refreshments and year-round seasonal interest.
Dogs are welcome on short leads every Thursday to Sunday from April to the end of September and every day from October through to March. Bank Holiday Mondays between April and September are excluded, so check the calendar before you travel. Extendable leads aren't permitted and the restricted days are non-negotiable.
The varied terrain means plenty of sniff opportunities without the garden feeling overly precious and the scale of the site gives you and your dog a decent stretch. It's one of the stronger outdoor options in the Llandudno area when access aligns with your dates.
