Bolam Lake Country Park is a 25-hectare managed country park about nine miles west of Morpeth, offering lakeside paths, woodland trails and plenty of space for a proper outdoor day with dogs. The park is officially recognised as an excellent place to walk dogs, with an accessible lakeside circuit, a bird hide, orienteering routes and three on-site car parks, including Boathouse Wood Car Park next to the visitor centre and cafe. Dogs are welcome throughout the park grounds, woodland and lakeside paths.

Owners are asked to keep dogs under control and be considerate of wildlife and livestock, particularly during the seasonal bird-breeding restrictions from mid-March to mid-June. The park gates open during daylight hours year-round.

The on-site cafe operates Wednesday to Sunday from April to September and weekends plus Wednesdays to Fridays from October to March, with slightly shorter winter hours. It's a well-equipped country park that takes dogs seriously and gives you room to enjoy a proper walk without fuss.
