Brambles Coffee Shop

Brambles Coffee Shop sits inside Poplar Tree Garden Centre on the southern edge of Durham, just off the A177.

Dogs are welcome inside the café, so you can settle in for lunch or cake together without leaving anyone in the car. The menu runs to hot meals, sandwiches and home baking, with indoor seating that keeps both of you dry when the weather turns. It's a useful stop if you're approaching Durham from the south or heading out towards Shincliffe and the garden centre itself is worth a browse with your dog once the table crumbs are cleared.

Open Monday to Friday 9:30am–5pm, Saturday 9:30am–4:30pm and Sunday 10am–4pm, Brambles makes a practical mid-morning coffee halt or lunch break when you need to keep your plans flexible and your dog by your side.
