Bread and Bitter is a characterful Castle Rock pub in Mapperley, just north-east of Nottingham city centre. Dogs are welcome inside in both the bar and dining areas, making it a handy stop for locals and visitors alike when the whole crew needs a proper pause.

Food is served Monday to Saturday from 10am until 9pm and Sunday from midday to 5pm, so there's a decent window for a meal with your dog under the table. The pub opens from 10am most days and stays open until 11pm on weekdays, midnight Thursday to Saturday and 10pm on Sunday.

It's a proper neighbourhood pub with a relaxed vibe and the kind of place where dog owners can settle in without fuss. Useful for a drink, a bite or both when you're exploring the area and don't want to leave anyone outside.
