Breen Oakwood

Breen Oakwood is a small woodland nature reserve just outside Ballycastle, tucked into the Glenshesk valley with year-round access and a car park on the forest track. Dogs are welcome to explore the oak woodland under Northern Ireland's general forest guidance, which asks you to keep them under control and on lead where signs require it. The oakwood is valued for its mature trees and quiet nature interest rather than marked trails or visitor facilities.
