Brimham Rocks

Brimham Rocks is a dramatic moorland rock formation managed by the National Trust, set on the open moor west of Harrogate. The weathered gritstone outcrops and balancing stones make for a memorable dog day out, with accessible trails, a visitor centre and kiosk on site. Dogs are very welcome and can explore all the outdoor areas alongside you.

The countryside is open from 09:00 to dusk daily, with the visitor centre running from 10:00 to 16:00 and the kiosk from 10:00 to 16:30. There's an on-site car park with ticketless payment machines and JustPark; parking is free for National Trust members. The short-lead rule applies everywhere across the site and surrounding moorland, so it's worth keeping a good grip as you weave between the rocks.

Admission is free for everyone. The mix of natural drama, manageable trails and proper facilities makes Brimham Rocks a well-organised outdoor adventure that suits dogs who enjoy sniffing ancient stone and moorland air in equal measure.
