Buckenham Marshes Nature Reserve is a wetland RSPB reserve near Norwich with a circular trail, sweeping views across the Norfolk Broads and proper birdwatching opportunities. Dogs on leads are welcome throughout the reserve at all times, making it a workable day out when you want wildlife interest without leaving your dog behind.

The reserve is open daily during daylight hours and can be visited at any time during the day. The circular route offers a chance to explore managed wetland habitat and the lead rule protects ground-nesting birds and visiting waterfowl.

There's no on-site RSPB car park; parking is available at Buckenham railway station and in a small informal area nearby. This is a proper nature reserve rather than a generic walk, so expect muddy stretches and plenty of sniff-worthy scents along the way.
