That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

Tucked away in Leckhampton, Burrow's Field is one of those easy, go-to green spaces that locals quietly rely on. It's a large open playing field with a mix of wide grassy areas and paths, making it ideal for a simple, no-fuss walk when you just need some fresh air (and a reset). There's more here than just open space too — football pitches, cricket squares, a playground, and even a BMX pump track add a bit of life and variety to the setting.
One of the big wins is how well it connects outwards. There are links to public footpaths and the wider countryside, so what starts as a quick lap can easily turn into something longer if the mood (or the dog) takes you there. It's well used, but in that relaxed, community way where everyone just gets on with their own thing.
It's not polished or showy — just a solid, dependable outdoor space where muddy paws, a bit of wandering, and a good stretch of the legs are all part of the plan. Dogs are welcome throughout, making it a reliable spot for a straightforward Cheltenham dog walk.
Good to know:
Water bowls available
Treats available
Doggy Menu available
Dog Policy:
Dogs are welcome throughout the field. It's a popular dog walking spot, so keep an eye on your dog around sports areas and other visitors — especially when footballs or curious toddlers are in play.
