That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

Buxton Brewery Tap House is the brewery’s flagship bar, set inside the Old Courthouse just behind the Crescent in the heart of town. It’s the place where everything comes together — great beer, proper food, and that steady, welcoming buzz that works at any time of day.

Beer is, of course, front and centre. Expect a wide range of Buxton Brewery pours across cask and keg, alongside guest beers, cider, wine and plenty of options if you’re not on the pints. If you’re the “just one flight to try a few” type, this is very much your place.

Food holds its own too. The menu leans into pub classics and more creative plates, all built around locally sourced ingredients from within the surrounding area. It’s the kind of spot where you can just as easily drop in for a drink as you can settle in for a full meal.

There’s always something going on — quizzes, live music, easy midweek evenings that turn into longer stays — giving it that reliable “start here, maybe end here” feel. A proper anchor venue for Buxton.
