Café Altitude is the kind of Ambleside stop that makes you instantly slow down. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, with wonderful views of the mountains, plus climbers on the wall to remind you that some people chose “vertical suffering” while you chose cake, which is honestly the correct decision.
