Cafe Eighty 6 in Caister-on-Sea is one of those small, local cafés that does exactly what you need it to do — good coffee, simple food, and a place to pause without overthinking it. Dogs are welcome inside, so nobody needs to do the pavement-waiting shuffle while the other half queues. It's the kind of spot you land on mid-wander when the dog's done a decent amount of sniffing and you both need a reset.

Inside, it leans into that easy, no-fuss café energy — somewhere between quick stop and we'll just sit for a bit longer actually. Expect the usual line-up of coffees, teas, breakfasts and light bites, with a steady rhythm of locals dropping in and out. It's not trying to be a destination, and that's exactly why it works.

The kind of place where the dog settles under the table (eventually), you get five minutes of peace, and then somehow end up planning the rest of the day around another coffee.

Good to know:

Dog Policy:

Friendly, well-behaved dogs are welcome inside, so everyone can sit together while the dog keeps a quiet, hopeful eye on nearby snacks and passing attention.
