Canoe Wild offers a peaceful way to experience the River Stour, drifting through calm, scenic stretches at your own pace. It's one of those activities that feels instantly grounding, whether you're out with friends, family or just soaking up the quiet with the water gently doing the work beneath you. No rush, no pressure, just a slow glide through some of Canterbury's most peaceful surroundings.
It's accessible for all ages and abilities, making it an easy "yes" for a day out, even if you've never picked up a paddle before. The focus is on enjoying the journey, spotting wildlife, and letting the river set the rhythm.
Dogs are welcome to join you on board, best suited sharing the canoe rather than being tied on. Medium-sized dogs tend to be the most comfortable fit, and it's all about keeping things relaxed and safe so everyone—paws included—can enjoy the ride.
