Charlecote Park is a beautiful add-on to a Stratford trip when you want a bigger outdoor leg stretch with some proper stately-home scenery thrown in. National Trust lists it under Warwickshire and highlights it as dog-friendly, which makes it especially useful for visitors travelling with their dog. The grounds, parkland and wider setting give you more space than the town centre, so it works well as a calmer counterpoint to Stratford’s busier streets. For dog owners, it is exactly the sort of place that turns a standard town break into a fuller day out: fresh air, handsome surroundings, a slower pace and a dog who gets to feel delightfully important in front of a very grand house.

Dog Policy:

Well-behaved dogs on short leads are welcome on the designated dog walking route, and inside the Wood Yard Café and Orangery Restaurant.
