Charlie Harper's is a lively all-day café brasserie in central Chichester, close to Eastgate Square and the city-centre car parks. Dogs are welcome inside, so whether you're dropping in for breakfast, a long brunch or a midday lunch, your dog can settle at your feet while you eat.

The menu covers café classics and brasserie dishes and the indoor seating means you can dodge the rain or escape the heat without leaving anyone tied up outside. It's the sort of place that works for a quick coffee stop or a proper sit-down meal and the central location makes it easy to fold into a morning's shopping or a day exploring the city.

Open Monday to Saturday from 7.45am until 4pm and Sunday from 9am to 3pm, so there's plenty of scope for early starts and lazy weekend mornings. Useful if you need a reliable dog-friendly table in the middle of town.
