Chestfield Barn is a pub on the Chestfield side of Whitstable, set in a historic 14th-century thatched barn. Its village-edge location offers easier driving access than the town centre, particularly if arriving from the A299.
The kitchen serves food Monday to Saturday from midday through the afternoon and again in the evening, with Sunday lunch running through to late afternoon. There is ample parking at the rear, partly shared with the adjacent golf club, making it a practical stop for lunch or dinner without the faff of coastal parking.
Dogs are welcome inside throughout the downstairs area, where they can join their owners at the table while they eat. The team loves welcoming dogs and provides water bowls, treats and a dedicated dog menu. Dogs must remain on a lead.
Good to know:

Dog Policy:
Dogs are welcome inside in the downstairs bar area, even when food is being served — so no one gets left doing the pavement shuffle while the rest of the table orders pudding.
