Churchill Gardens is a compact riverside park in central Salisbury, open 24 hours a day and free to visit. Set along the River Avon, the formal gardens offer shrubs, trees and riverside paths alongside more active options including a skatepark, disc golf course and parkour area. There's limited free parking on site and public toilets.

Dogs are welcome throughout the grounds on lead, in line with Salisbury City Council's parks guidance. The riverside paths make for an easy leg-stretch, while the open layout lets you keep an eye on tangled leads around the play and sports zones. It's the sort of spot where a quick wander can stretch into an hour if the sniff trail holds.

Walkers looking for a quick outdoor break near the city centre will find it useful. The mix of formal planting and recreational facilities gives both humans and dogs something to do and the round-the-clock access means you can visit when it suits your schedule.

Dog Policy:

Dogs are welcome throughout the garden grounds on lead. Salisbury City Council's parks guidance requires dogs to be kept on a lead in city parks and open spaces.
