Claro Lounge is one of those Ripon places that works beautifully for dog owners because it is designed to feel like a home-from-home rather than a formal café stop. Set in the old Claro Bank building, this relaxed neighbourhood café bar serves food all day, every day, which makes it useful whether the plan is breakfast, lunch, dinner or a "we definitely deserve cake" pause.

For visitors with dogs, it is a very easy fit into the day: central, welcoming and nicely unfussy, with that all-day flexibility that helps when plans are being led by paws, weather and snack requirements.

It is the sort of place where everyone can settle in without ceremony. Warm, roomy and ideal for a Ripon refuel with a dog in tow.
