That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

Coffee Break in Ilfracombe does exactly what it says on the tin, and dogs are fully included in the arrangement. Dogs are welcome inside, with water bowls, free treats and plenty of fuss waiting for them after a harbour wander.

The menu doesn't stop with the humans either. Staff are happy to prepare dog-friendly food such as sausages and scrambled eggs, so your dog can enjoy a proper pit stop rather than conducting a hopeful floor scan beneath the tables.

It's a relaxed, friendly place to pause between shops, walks and the next round of "no, we're not eating that". If your dog could order, they'd request scrambled eggs, a sausage and three compliments — and Coffee Break appears ready to oblige.

Dog Policy:

Dogs are welcome inside, so nobody needs to do the pavement-waiting shuffle. Leads on, please, but treats and fuss are guaranteed.
