Compton Verney

Compton Verney is a country house and art museum set in 120 acres of rolling parkland near Warwick, where dogs on leads are welcome to explore the grounds and visit the Welcome Centre. The estate offers a long day out for dog owners who want galleries, sculpture trails and café breaks without leaving the dog in the car—you'll just need to take turns for the House and main gallery spaces, which remain assistance-dogs only.

The parkland is the real draw for four-legged visitors: open meadows, woodland paths and plenty of sniff-worthy territory, all accessed via free on-site parking (the car park sits about 580 metres from the house, so factor in a short walk). Dogs stay on leads throughout, with longer leads allowed in Old Town Meadow and they're kept out of the playground, Forest School areas and Ice House Coppice.

Open Wednesday to Sunday, 10.30am to 4.30pm and closed Monday and Tuesday except bank holidays. Admission booking is advised to secure the best price; walk-up tickets cost more on the day.
