Conwy Water Gardens is a woodland garden and wildlife visitor site in Rowen, about five miles from Conwy. The grounds feature a nature trail, ornamental lakes and wildlife displays, plus fishing and a pancake house serving food Wednesday to Sunday. It's the sort of place that turns a morning wander into a proper day out. Dogs are welcome throughout the gardens and nature trail on short leads.

The pancake house accepts only guide dogs inside, so plan for outdoor seating or a pre-visit feed if you're visiting with your own dog. The grounds themselves offer plenty of sniff-worthy territory and shade from the woodland setting. Opening days are Wednesday to Sunday, with the gardens open from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
