Cotehele

Cotehele is a National Trust estate near Looe with a Tudor house, historic quay, working mill and extensive grounds. Dogs on short leads are welcome in selected garden areas on gravel paths, across the wider estate and inside the Barn Café, shop, plant centre and Bull Pen Gallery, though several ornamental areas and the house interior are reserved for assistance dogs only.

In the garden, keep to the gravel paths with short fixed-length leads; dogs aren't allowed on grass and areas including the Old Orchard, Mother Orchard, Cut Flower Garden and Valley Garden remain assistance-dogs-only. The Barn Café, shop, plant centre and gallery all welcome dogs on short leads, so you can browse, refuel and keep everyone together without a car shuffle. The Edgcumbe at Cotehele Quay is currently closed for building works, but the kiosk remains open for refreshments.

The estate and quay are open dawn to dusk, with the house, garden, café and shop operating daily from mid-morning to late afternoon. Official pay-and-display car parks serve the main estate, farm yard and Cotehele Quay, making this a practical full-day destination with clearly signposted dog rules and plenty of gravel to explore.
