Cragside is a National Trust estate about 13 miles south-west of Alnwick, where dogs are welcome across all the outdoor areas including the gardens, woodland, lakes and trails. It's a proper day-out destination with plenty of space for sniff breaks and lead-tangling moments, though dogs must stay on leads throughout and aren't allowed inside the House except for assistance dogs.
The grounds offer miles of woodland paths and formal gardens to explore and there's dog-friendly seating in the tea room plus the option to browse the shop with your dog. It's the sort of place where you can stretch everyone's legs without worrying about leaving anyone in the car.
Parking is available on site with no additional charge once you've paid entry or shown your National Trust membership. This is a paid attraction, though under-fives and members go free and there's no need to pre-book—just turn up and pay on arrival.

Dog Policy:
Dogs are welcome in all outdoor areas including the gardens, woodland and wider grounds and must be kept on a lead at all times. Dogs aren't allowed in the House except for assistance dogs, but they can browse the shop and use dog-friendly seating in the tea room.
