Darwin Gardens is a managed Millennium Green on the southern edge of Ilkley town centre, offering maze trails, picnic tables and seating areas in an informal parkland setting. Dogs are welcome to use the gardens and green with you and there's a car park accessed from Wells Road.
The gardens are open 24 hours daily, making them a useful stop for a morning lead walk or a late-evening sniff break when other venues are closed. The site includes a maze and trail features and seating dotted throughout means you can settle with a coffee while they explore the scents.
Keep your dog under control and on a lead when sheep are in the gardens or on the lower parts of the moor. The gardens connect to moorland paths, so the sheep rule is practical rather than fussy and it keeps everyone safe during grazing periods.
